Harry and Beth held a beautiful outdoor reception at The Inn at Edgewater Acres in Alexandria, PA. Beth’s brother Ray happens to be one of my longtime best friends. Ray is a successful photographer in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Who would of thought, two guys that met as freshman 20 years ago would both be in the wedding industry? I don’t think either of us “majored” in weddings.
People ofton ask me what is the coolest thing you have seen at a wedding? Well, this ranks pretty high up the list … A canoe filled with alcohol as the bar.
Ok, so that was a picture at the end of the night when the canoe was EMPTY…. but still, what an excellent idea.
Harry and Beth planned a reception that had a little bit of everything, energy, love, humor, romance, and of course everyone had FUN!
Throughout the planning process and right up to the very end of our reception, Jamie was simply awesome!! We didn’t have to worry about a thing! He had our guests up and dancing right after dinner, and kept the party going all night! In fact, even after we extended the reception, our guests wanted to take up a collection to keep Jamie rockin’ the house even longer! We could not be happier! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Here are more GREAT PHOTOS Ray Kauffman shot at the wedding. Thanks Harry and Beth!!!
Jamie provided endless entertainment and fun throughout our wedding night. He came up with an original and exciting entrance and was right there helping out with things that we didn’t even realize needed done! He got all of the guests dancing and having fun–even the ones who didn’t think they wanted to dance, but ended up having a blast once they got out on the dance floor. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone!!! Thank you for making our wedding day special and so much fun!
Melissa & Jamey
Here is the video of Jamey and Melissa’s introduction at the Antler Club in Lucinda, PA
It is rare that I perform EIGHT HOUR receptions; this was a GREATeight hour reception from beginning to end. The simple fact that Jamey and Melissa are wonderful people and really embraced the moment made this reception awesome! The couple enjoyed all of their family and friends out on the dance floor and set the tone from the very beginning; they came ready to party! Thanks Jamey and Melissa.
Davey and Hope hosted an awesome reception at the Gemmell Center on the campus of Clarion University. This was one of those receptions where I felt as if I had a “home field” advantage. Not only was the facility less than 5 blocks from my home, but between the Davey, Hope, their family and friends, I knew most of the room on a first name basis. I even got to see my old friends The Shaffer’s. I performed at their wedding 9 years ago.
Davey and Hope picked Bon Jovi’s “All About Lovin’ You” as their first dance. Completely personal and what a beautiful way to start the evening.
From the first dance…
to the last ….
What a great party!!! And even the groomsman found another use for the stage.
Casey and Johanna planned an awesome reception. Picking the right introduction music can really set the tone for the entire event. Casey and Johanna decided to use “Sexyback” for the bridal party and “The Way You Make Me Feel” by Michael Jackson for their grand entrance. It was HOT!
The Vagabonds in Butler, Pa did a tremendous job with the facilities and making sure the buffet ran smoothly.
I love working for “repeat families”. Here is Johanna, Casey along with her sister and brother in-law (Kelly& Mike 07). Kelly was Johanna’s “unofficial” wedding planner and I had a chance to work with Kelly all over again which was a lot of fun!
The best part about being familiar with Johanna and Kelly’s family was they were ready to party!
The reception was soooooooo good we even went an HOUR OVERTIME!
Mike and Erin had nothing less than a spectacular day for their wedding ceremony and reception at St Jude Golf Club in Chicora. I mean not a cloud in the sky kind of beautiful.
I provided music and coordination for the ceremony that was held just off the first fairway on the golf course. Guests were then treated to appetizers and cocktails on the lower patio. Music was played via wireless speaker enhancement which is just one of the many Houserockers DJ options .
One of the most memorable moments of the evening was when Erin’s dad Jim decided to switch their father/daughter dance song and ended up singing the doo wop version of “The Way You Look Tonight”.
Amazing Wedding held in Clarion with Deanna and Brian.
Sometimes the most memorable part of a wedding is not planned or well thought out or even perfectly timed. It just happens! Sure the night was romantic, beautiful and everything Deanna and Brian had ever dreamed of, but surely the most memorable part was when Brian ran up to me during the open dancing and said…. “It’s time for Invisible Touch”.
Here is Brian and Deanna’s Wedding Wire Review:
Jamie did an awesome job at our wedding. We didn’t have to worry about a thing! He was extremely professional and very helpful. From the moment the bridal party walked in the door, he knew exactly what to do and took charge. I was able to relax and enjoy my reception because I knew Jamie could handle everything. The music was perfect. He played everything that we requested and everyone raved that we had awesome music at our reception! Thank you Jamie, you were fantastic!
Brian and Deanna
A great time was had by all of Brian and Deanna’s friends and family especially a friend that we will call “Jim”. “Jim” was on the dancefloor with Brian and of their college buddies but didn’t dance to anything. Not a THING! As I picked up on this it became the running joke of the night. Also, I kept calling him Tim, which was kinda funny too! Finally I just stopped the music near the end of the night and asked “Jim” the next song was his and I would play anything he wanted. The best he could come up with was Metalica – “Enter Sandman”. So I played it. And Jim DANCED!!!! (sort of)
Jim’s friend Jon summed up the wedding like this via Facebook:
The DJ mocked Jim for not dancing and played Metallica. The dudes got cut off (at the bar) all at once…. Oh and Brian & Deanna got married.
I’m not sure what else to say, but Jessyka was absolutely right. It was a kick butt reception. It was soooooo good, I was only able to snap two photos the whole night and both were at the very beginning. Here they are dancing to 98 degrees “I Do (Cherish You).
The Clarion Holiday Inn did an outstanding job hosting the event that had over 250 guests in attendance. The entire night flowed seamlessly from one event to the other. When it came time to dance, everybody was on the floor.
533 of Stephen and Jodi’s closest family and friends attended a beautiful wedding reception at the Jaffa Shrine in Altoona, PA. No, that wasn’t a mistake, FIVE HUNDRED AND THIRTY THREE. The room was on fire with energy from the cocktail hour to the very last song of the night.
What set the tone for the evening was an out of this world introduction, that included separate introductions for the bridesmaids ( Single Ladies) and then the groomsman(Sexyback) with Jodi and Stephen popping thru the bridal party (It Takes Two). But that’s not all. As the group made their way thru the crowd and spaced themselves out along the isle and dance floor I dropped Jump on It and the entire bridal party performed a choreographed dance that brought the house down.
This was my second wedding for Stephen’s family as I did his younger brother’s Matt’s wedding back in 2008. Here is a link to Matt and Jamie’s Wedding.
Jodi and Stephen added the beautiful accent lighting and a “names in lights” gobo to really personalize the event.
I often say the best part of my job is when I become more than just a dj, or even a friend. I get a chance to become part of the family. Thanks Jodi and Stephen for letting me be part of yours!
We really enjoyed having Jamie as part of our day.
He accommodated all of our requests, found every song we liked that was not on the website’s list, and really got people involved. He is very easy to contact and very organized – very important for all of us who go a little crazy with planning.
We also really enjoyed using his website to find songs that we wanted to have played, and just as importantly, songs that we didn’t want. It was very easy to navigate and helped us quickly and painlessly organize the reception.
At the reception was easy going, charming, friendly, and absolutely professional. He has the voice and personality to command the attention of the room, and he did a great job keeping things moving.
In terms of price, I thought he was very reasonable, especially when we compared several other DJs. As it turns out, it was a great deal.
I know it seems like everyone says this, but many of our guests really did comment on how great the DJ was, which says a lot! He was the first DJ our reception hall recommended, and we both highly recommend him without any reservations.
Dave and Lisa had a beautiful day for a wedding reception at Anchor Village in Clarion, PA. The newlyweds entered to a standing ovation as Gretchen Wilson’s track “Here for the Party” played. Dave and Lisa danced together for the first time to one of my favorite ballads, “Love of My Life” by Jim Brickman. For years I used to end most receptions with that track as it is perfect for wedding receptions.
I had a chance to visit with many of Dave’s friends from work as I have done their office party for over 10 years. I also got a chance to see Scott and Mellisa whose wedding reception I performed at back in September 2008.
Dave and Lisa have some really fun friends that kept the party going well past my original 5 hours of service. Thanks Dave and Lisa!
