Jamie,
Brian and I wanted to thank you sooo much for our wedding September 4th! We had the best time and so did all of our guests, I can’t tell you how many people, friends and family, said that was the best wedding they’ve ever been to and everyone commented on how much they loved you! You did a great job and we couldn’t be happier. One of our friends asked (as a joke) if we could get divorced so we could have another wedding! The music, lights and props were so much fun and we just wanted to let you know how much we appreciated what you did. We will recommend you to everyone we know! Thanks again!!!!!
Leanne and Brian

Brian and Leanne planned an exciting celebration. They entered the
Presque Isle Ballroom at the Avalon Hotel to “I Believe In A Thing Called Love” which really set the tone. Their song list for dinner was themed around The Beatles (Cirque du Soleil – LOVE). The mix included classic Beatles tracks with current covers. I can’t tell you the number of compliments I received (even though it was Brian’s idea) throughout dinner. Here is just a sample:
Beatles – Here Comes The Sun
Eva Cassidy – Yesterday
Beatles – All You Need is Love
Ella Fitzgerald – Can’t Buy Me Love
Beatles – If I Fell
Jack Johnson – Imagine
Ben Folds – Golden Slumbers
Eddie Vedder – You’ve Got to Hide Your Love Away
Beatles – Something
T.V. Carpio – I Want to Hold Your Hand
Beatles – Something
Boyz II Men – In My Life
Sarah McLachlan – Blackbird
Fiona Apple – Across the Universe
Stereophonics – Don’t Let Me Down
Beatles – The Long And Winding Road
Beatles – I Will
Ben Harper – Strawberry Fields Forever
Beatles – Good Day Sunshine
Beatles – Yellow Submarine
Aretha Franklin – Let It Be
Brian and Leanne selected enhancements including, accent lighting, monogram projection, confetti entrance, and lighted stages.
They even brought in a classic photobooth!!!
The dancefloor was hot all night long!!!
Thanks Brian and Leanne!!!!

Harry and Beth held a beautiful outdoor reception at The Inn at Edgewater Acres in Alexandria, PA. Beth’s brother Ray happens to be one of my longtime best friends. Ray is a successful photographer in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Who would of thought, two guys that met as freshman 20 years ago would both be in the wedding industry? I don’t think either of us “majored” in weddings.

Jamie and Ray of Ray Kauffman Photography
People ofton ask me what is the coolest thing you have seen at a wedding? Well, this ranks pretty high up the list … A canoe filled with alcohol as the bar.

Ok, so that was a picture at the end of the night when the canoe was EMPTY…. but still, what an excellent idea.
Harry and Beth planned a reception that had a little bit of everything, energy, love, humor, romance, and of course everyone had FUN!
Here is Harry and Beth’s Wedding Wire Review:
Throughout the planning process and right up to the very end of our reception, Jamie was simply awesome!! We didn’t have to worry about a thing! He had our guests up and dancing right after dinner, and kept the party going all night! In fact, even after we extended the reception, our guests wanted to take up a collection to keep Jamie rockin’ the house even longer! We could not be happier! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Here are more GREAT PHOTOS Ray Kauffman shot at the wedding. Thanks Harry and Beth!!!

Jamie provided endless entertainment and fun throughout our wedding night. He came up with an original and exciting entrance and was right there helping out with things that we didn’t even realize needed done! He got all of the guests dancing and having fun–even the ones who didn’t think they wanted to dance, but ended up having a blast once they got out on the dance floor. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone!!! Thank you for making our wedding day special and so much fun!

It is rare that I perform EIGHT HOUR receptions; this was a GREAT eight hour reception from beginning to end. The simple fact that Jamey and Melissa are wonderful people and really embraced the moment made this reception awesome! The couple enjoyed all of their family and friends out on the dance floor and set the tone from the very beginning; they came ready to party! Thanks Jamey and Melissa.

Hey Jamie,
We wanted to thank you for the amazing job you did to help make our wedding reception wonderful. Words do not come close to say how GREAT of a job you did. You went above and beyond what was expected of you….from cutting the cake to having Bobbie help with the YMCA, or just keeping the guest involved it was fantastic! Guest continue to talk about how great the DJ was! We are so blessed to have such a GREAT DJ help us start our new life as one.
Denelle & Ryan
When Denelle contacted me about her upcoming wedding she had an interesting request. When I first started Houserockers DJ over 15 years ago, my first employee was my sister Bobbie. She had an outgoing personality and was finishing her teaching degree. While student teaching the 5th grade at Redbank Elementary, Bobbie put a group of kids together to perform our Village People YMCA skit for the annual talent show. Guess which 5th grader was in that group….. yup….. Denelle!
Here is Denelle’s original inquiry:
I have special request. I know that she does not normally do this but I had a great student teacher in 5th grade named Miss Simpson, and I was wondering if she would be willing to come back and DJ for my wedding?
She was a huge influence in my life and taught me the YMCA with a group of students and we won the talent show. It would mean the world to me to have her DJ my wedding!
I still get a little chocked up reading that, so, I made a phone call, and of course my sister came out of DJ retirement. We had a lot of fun with a few other guests in attendance that mentioned that Bobbie had performed for an event for their family. And of course, they brought the house down with the 5th grade re-enactment of the YMCA!
The wedding reception was lots of fun with Ryan and Denelle’s family really enjoying themselves.
And Yes…. The DJ did cut the wedding cake. Bobbie and I pitched in and cut the 5 tier Uzi Pastries Cake after the caterer fell a little behind with the dinner.
Thanks Ryan and Denelle!

Jen and Clint had a beautiful celebration at Laube Hall in Freeport, Pa on November 7th, 2009. Jen selected the 6 hour premium package which includes 6 hours of performance time and 2 options. Her options consisted of accent lighting and a monogram projection. Here is a note I just received from Jen after the wedding.
Jamie,
We wanted to thank you so much for the amazing job you did at our wedding!!! It was more than we could have ever asked for! Even with an older crowd, everyone was having a great time! Everyone couldn’t say enough nice things about you and everything you did! We LOVED the Newlywed Game, it was such a great way to start the evening! To this day, almost three months later, everyone is still talking about what a great time they had! We have so many great memories, many thanks to you :)!
Thanks again for everything!
Jen and Clint (November 7th, 2009)

I know it’s hard to believe there is a “destination wedding” center right here in Western Pennsylvania. Foxburg, PA has some great shops, the oldest golf course in America, a magnificent restaurant, inn, and winery all on the banks of the Allegheny River. It was an easy choice for Megan and Shaun to hold their ceremony and reception at such an amazing site. Megan and Shaun had an outdoor ceremony in the beautifully landscaped garden that sits between the Inn and the Resturant. I provided music and a wireless lapel microphone for the pastor for the ceremony.

The reception started immediately afterwards with some cool drinks on a hot day, while the couple took some post ceremony photographs around Foxburg with Aaron and Luke from Identitiy Studio and Design. This is me taking a photo of them, taking a photo of Megan and Shaun.

I also provided a projector and screen for Megan and Shaun to show two personalized slideshows that they produced. I always worry about the weather when booking outdoor events, but the day was nothing short of spectacular. The reception was tremendous with almost every guest dancing from the very first song to the very very last song. I received a nice letter from Gwen the mother of the bride a few days after the wedding:
Where do we start – - Phenomenal ! Amazing ! Heartwarming !
When we met with you 1 ½ years ago we implied that“Youwould be the Pesci wedding” that the wedding ceremony and reception was in “Jamie’s hands”! We wanted this to be a celebration of a lifetime!
Jamie, you Exceeded our Expectations!
Our guest had a Fantastic, Memorable, Out of this World day! Each moment was complete and totally organized. We felt as though you were a close friend orchestrating every moment of our special occasion to the highest degree! The time, patience and perseverance you extended in making our special presentations from the bride and mother-of the-bride are unbelievable! We can not Thank You enough for the Fabulous job well done! You have made our memories Unforgettable!
From the bottom of our hearts – Many Thanks with Much Appreciation and Gratitude !!

Jamie did an awesome job at the wedding. He was very easy to work with and easy to get in touch with (Both over the phone and via email). He definitely knows how to take control of all the events at the reception so the bride and groom do not have to worry about things moving along. He keeps people entertained all night, I had so many compliments about him. I would definitely recommend his services to anyone getting married and looking to have a fun reception.
It’s no secret. I perform at a lot of weddings where past clients are in attendence. Karissa and Rian’s wedding I had a chance to see two of my favorites, Megan and Meredeth. A great letter is still on my Houserockers Testimonials page from the girls.

Megan, Jamie, and Meredeth
The Vagabonds Hall in Butler, PA was decorated beautifully with a crisp red accent. Rian and Karissa’s cake was very similar to my wedding cake … Rian and Karissa’s cake tasted better then mine.

A view looking towards the front door from the DJ table.

Karissa and Rian’s Wedding Cake.
There is no doubt Rian and Karissa are amazing people. Their reception was a reflection of how wonderful they are. While Karissa has this warm glowing type of personality, Rian is a “Vince Vaughn” type of guy… a man’s man that can make you laugh or cut you in half with his wit. It was a great experience getting to know them and celebrating their reception with them…. because as Karrissa puts it… It was the best reception ever… even better than Megan and Meredeth’s!
Well … from my point of view…. I love all my children (receptions) the same… and they are all equally as good. : )

Liz and Brian had a beautiful wedding reception at the Mayernik Center just outside of Pittsburgh in Avonworth Park. Here is a note I got from them after the wedding …
Jamie,
We can not thank you enough for the tremendous job you did at our wedding!!! All week our families have been getting emails and phone calls and texts about what an amazing time they had! People who came and thought they would say hello and have some dinner ended up staying almost the whole evening because the atmosphere was just that enticing! Our friends loved the costumes and didn’t want to give them up. There was something for everyone all night long!
The slideshow turned out even better than we anticipated. You set exactly the mood we were looking for and kept it going the whole night. We have been going over everything again and again and thinking of all the fun we had. The DJ definitely makes the reception, and boy did you ever MAKE IT!!! We could not be happier with the way everything turned and you played one of the biggest roles in that happening!
We attached a couple of pictures, and I’ll let you know when we get more!
THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for EVERYTHING!!!
Liz and Brian

I was also the DJ for Lindsey and Brandon (Brian’s sister) back in October of 2007. Lindsey wanted to make sure she made it on my website. : )

Brian, Liz, Jamie, Lindsey, and Brandon
What made it so much fun working with Brian and Liz was that not only did we have this history together, but they had their own unique vision of how they wanted their reception. It’s very inspiring as a performer when a great client comes to you with an idea and now MY JOB is to see it thru and make it everything they wanted. For example, Liz and Brian wanted a very personal photo montage developed with my assistance and played immediately before their grand introduction. This built energy and excitement for their arrival thru the use of some of their favorite songs and “theme-ing” the arrival music with the montage (Dave Matthews Band). It was a spectacular way to kick off the night!
What made things a bit of a challenge was the layout of the room and the placement of my equipment. After a few trials, this seemed to be the most un-intrusive set up at the Mayernik Center.

Notice the projector set up ON the head table. A pull up screen located on the floor behind the head table was used for the montage. This was the only location that could have been used because of how the Mayernik Center is set up and also being that the montage was shown before the Bridal Party’s arrival.

Alex and Laura went above and beyond with the planning, detailing, and production of their recent wedding reception in DuBois, PA. While I do many events at the DuBois County Club, this event raised the bar with all of their unique touches. Alex and Laura reserved the Houserockers DJ 6 hour premium package that included matching pink uplighting and a custom gobo projection. Their reception was sooooo good they still needed 2 additional hours of overtime because no one was ready to go home.

Doug and Michelle
I performed at Doug’s brother’s wedding last year and on Monday after the wedding Michelle called to book me. Here is a picture of us.

The reception was held at one of my favorite places, The Johnsonburg Fire Hall, for over 400 friends and family. In General, I don’t post the last names of my couples in my blog, but when you have a family owned brewery generations, people generally know who you are… and besides … isn’t this an awesome favor!

Thanks Michelle and Doug!
