Will and Katie held a beautiful wedding reception at Pinecrest Country Club in Brookville, Pennsylvania.  I was also lucky enough to perform at receptions  for Katie’s sisters Kelly and Christy.  What an awesome time with such a great family.  Enjoy the Video Blog:

I LOVE working for couples that enjoy and cherish the time they spend with their family and friends. Stephen and Rachel had an amazing night. From the awesome confetti introduction, to the beautiful photo montages, and unique mix of modern and classic music, no one was left out of the action. The dance floor was on fire from the very first song of the night. AWESOME!!!

I had a chance to connect with Stephen and Rachel (and Rachel’s sister, Sarah), at Desiree and Adam’s wedding back in October 2010.

From that moment, I knew Rachel and Stephen were not just planning an incredible reception for themselves, but a celebration for their family and friends to make outstanding memories!!! Enjoy the Video!

Jamie was absolutely wonderful every single step of the way! He really took the time to ensure that we were happy with everything and that it was just perfect! He personalized the reception especially for us. I would highly recommend the confetti grand entrance! Everyone loved it and it was something that no one had seen before. It was exactly what we wanted, and more! Every single person raved about how wonderful he was. Jamie had everyone up dancing the ENTIRE night! It was the wedding reception I always dreamed of! I HIGHLY recommend Jamie as a DJ.

Good morning. Just got back from the Caribbean and wow, what a change! Kelly and I wanted to thank you for making “our day” the most memorable day of our lives. From the very beginning, you have been a joy to work with and have always answered any questions that we had. Your creativeness and passion for what you do clearly shows through in your work. I can’t tell you enough how many people came up to Kelly and I said the DJ really set the mood and it was the most fun they have had in years. Several people have said that you were the best DJ they have ever seen and trust me, these people go to a lot of weddings! Travis & Kelly

Travis and Kelly celebrated with over 250 of their closest family and friends at the Antler Club in Lucinda, Pennsylvania.  They included accent lighting (purple) and a continuous photo montage.  I was also able to help Travis with a surprise for Kelly.  Watch this video:

Jen and Matt held a beautiful wedding reception at DuBois Country Club.  The room looked amazing!!!  The night reflected their own style and taste with a very smooth introduction to Ray LaMontagne’s “You’re The Best Thing”, to some Prince for the bouquet and garter toss.  One of my favorite parts of the reception was when the entire room came to the dance floor to sing “American Pie” as the unofficial Inzana Family Wedding Tradition.  Take a look at the video:

Jamie is the best of the best. He made our wedding perfect down to the very last detail. It was by far the most fun wedding I have ever been to (even if it was my own). The amount of energy he radiates throughout the crowd is outstanding, there was never a dull moment, and the dance floor was completely full from the first open dance to the end of the night. His experience and professionalism took a tremendous weight off of our shoulders and helped us to enjoy our wedding just as much as everyone else did!

The dance floor was really packed from the begining of the night to the very end!!!

Brian and I wanted to thank you sooo much for our wedding September 4th! We had the best time and so did all of our guests, I can’t tell you how many people, friends and family, said that was the best wedding they’ve ever been to and everyone commented on how much they loved you! I didn’t even mention a great Father/Daughter, Mother/Son Dance.  A wonderful toast by Philip to Nicole, and a dance floor that was hopping before dinner was even finished.

Did I mention a monogram at the entrance, amber uplighting, and a rockin’  dance floor (yeah maybe I did).

After I sent Philip’s dad a copy of my playlist for the night this is the note I recieved in return.

I just have to say, listening to the last hour or so of music (I was using Shazam on my iPhone to capture the music titles) that the whole wedding reception was brought back so vividly.

OK…so I’m a sucker for music, but you really made the wedding reception memorable. Your selection and combination of titles was just excellent. You are worth every penny you charge!

Don’t hesitate to book Jamie Simpson right away for your wedding! Our wedding guests are still complementing my husband and I on Jamie’s talent. It’s amazing to look back on our reception pictures and see everyone on the dance floor laughing and having a good time!!

533 of Stephen and Jodi’s closest family and friends attended a beautiful wedding reception at the Jaffa Shrine in Altoona, PA. No, that wasn’t a mistake, FIVE HUNDRED AND THIRTY THREE. The room was on fire with energy from the cocktail hour to the very last song of the night.

What set the tone for the evening was an out of this world introduction, that included separate introductions for the bridesmaids ( Single Ladies) and then the groomsman(Sexyback) with Jodi and Stephen popping thru the bridal party (It Takes Two).   But that’s not all.  As the group made their way thru the crowd and spaced themselves out along the isle and dance floor I dropped Jump on It and the entire bridal party performed a choreographed dance  that brought the house down.

This was my second wedding for Stephen’s family as I did his younger brother’s Matt’s wedding back in 2008.  Here is a link to Matt and Jamie’s Wedding.

Jodi and Stephen added the beautiful accent lighting and a “names in lights” gobo to really personalize the event.

I often say the best part of my job is when I become more than just a dj, or even a friend.  I get a chance to become part of the family.  Thanks Jodi and Stephen for letting me be part of yours!

You went above and beyond what was expected of you….from cutting the cake to having Bobbie help with the YMCA, or just keeping the guest involved it was fantastic! Denelle & Ryan

When Denelle contacted me about her upcoming wedding she had an interesting request.  When I first started Houserockers DJ over 15 years ago, my first employee was my sister Bobbie.  She had an outgoing personality and was finishing her teaching degree.  While student teaching the 5th grade at Redbank Elementary, Bobbie put a group of kids together to perform our Village People YMCA skit for the annual talent show.  Guess which 5th grader was in that group….. yup….. Denelle!

Here is Denelle’s original inquiry:

I have special request. I know that she does not normally do this but I had a great student teacher in 5th grade named Miss Simpson, and I was wondering if she would be willing to come back and DJ for my wedding?

She was a huge influence in my life and taught me the YMCA with a group of students and we won the talent show.  It would mean the world to me to have her DJ my wedding!

I still get a little chocked up reading that, so, I made a phone call, and of course my sister came out of DJ retirement.  We had a lot of fun with a few other guests in attendance that mentioned that Bobbie had performed for an event for their family.  And of course, they brought the house down with the 5th grade re-enactment of the YMCA!

The wedding reception was lots of fun with Ryan and Denelle’s family really enjoying themselves.

And Yes…. The DJ did cut the wedding cake.  Bobbie and I pitched in and cut the 5 tier Uzi Pastries Cake after the caterer fell a little behind with the dinner.

Jen and Clint had a beautiful celebration at Laube Hall in Freeport, Pa on November 7th, 2009.  Jen selected the 6 hour premium package which includes 6 hours of performance time and 2 options.  Her options consisted of accent lighting and a monogram projection.  Here is a note I just received from Jen after the wedding.

We wanted to thank you so much for the amazing job you did at our wedding!!! It was more than we could have ever asked for! Even with an older crowd, everyone was having a great time! Everyone couldn’t say enough nice things about you and everything you did! We LOVED the Newlywed Game, it was such a great way to start the evening! To this day, almost three months later, everyone is still talking about what a great time they had!  We have so many great memories, many thanks to you :)!
